Context
THE CHALLENGE
Design a coffee island for a shopping centre that reads as a standalone venue rather than a counter against a wall.
Solution
We built a structure with circular access: the working area inside, a display case around the perimeter, a screen carrying a lion image in the upper band and a coffee-to-go sign. Dark wood and warm case lighting bring warmth against the mall's cold light, while the lion figures act as a landmark that locates the venue from afar.
